WHY DO WE TRAP

Trapping cats for Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNVR) programs allows us to humanely capture free-roaming cats for spaying, neutering, and vaccinating.

Ear tipping—surgically removing about a quarter-inch of the left ear under anesthesia—marks our trapped cats as fixed and vaccinated, ensuring no unnecessary retrapping.

Ear tipping quick, painless procedure, which causes minimal bleeding and preserves the cat’s appearance, provides a clear visual cue for trappers and communities, supporting effective, humane management of cat populations and fostering harmony, all in line with our mission to transform lives one whisker at a time!

WHY VACCINATION SAVES LIVES

Vaccinations are a cornerstone of Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNVR) programs, protecting free-roaming cats from deadly diseases like rabies and feline viral infections, while also safeguarding public health by reducing the risk of zoonotic disease transmission to humans, pets, and wildlife.

By immunizing cats before returning them to their colonies, TNVR programs ensure healthier cat populations, minimize disease outbreaks.

WHY DO WE RETURN?

Returning cats after Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNVR) lets these whiskered wanderers strut back to their stomping grounds, keeping colonies in check, spreading good vibes with vaccines, and high-fiving communities with harmony, all while helping our mission to give homeless kitties a pawsome life!
